NGC-6960 is the westernmost arc of the expanding supernova remnant known as the Veil Nebula Complex. It is located in the constellation of Cygnus the Swan. It is the remnant of the titanic explosion of a massive star which occurred between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago.
This image was captured on August 23rd, 2025 and is a 2 hour 24 minute integration of 2 minute exposures through the AT-92 92mm f/5.5 APO Refractor, using the ZWO 2600MC Pro camera cooled to 0 degrees and binned 1 X 1. Captured in NINA, guided by PHD2, Processed in PixInsight and post-processed in PhotoShop 2025 using levels, curves, and StarShrink.
