The North American Nebula is an immense cloud of dust and gas which is illuminated by imbeded star clusters. It lies just SW of the first magnitude star Deneb (A Cygni). It lies approximately 2600 light years from Earth.
This image was captured on September 25, 2025, and is a 2 hour 32 minute integration of 2 minute exposures through the Astro Tech AT92 92mm f/5.5 APO Refractor using the ZWO 2600MC camera cooled to 0 degrees and binned 1 X 1. Captured in NINA, guided by PHD2, Processed in PixInsight. Post processed in PhotoShop 2025 using levels, curves, color balance, saturation, and the plug-ins HLVG and StarShrink.
