M-27 (NGC-6853). A planetary nebula located in the constellation of Vulpecula. It lies 1360 Light years from Earth and is over 1.5 light years in diameter. It is the first object of this type ever discovered, by Charles Messier in 1764. Visually, it shines at a magnitude of 7.5 and is about 8 arc minutes in diameter. It has long been a popular observing target for amateur telescopes.
This image was captured on the evening of June 22, 2025. It is a 1 hour 30 minute integration of 90 second exposures taken through an Astro-Tech AT-92 92mm aperture f/5.5 APO refractor, using a ZWO 2600MC Pro camera operating at 0 degrees and binned 1 X 1. Captured using N.I.N.A., guided by PHD2, stacked, calibrated and processed in PixInsight. Post processed using PhotoShop.
