NGC-6939 is an open star cluster in the constellation of Cepheus. It was discovered by Sir William Herschel in 1798. This cluster is approximately 3,800 light years from Earth, whereas its nearby companion, the spiral galaxy NGC-6946, lies over 25 MILLION light years from earth.
This image is a 90 minute integration of 1 minute exposures through the AT-92 92mm f/5.5 APO refractor using the ZWO 2600MC Pro color CMOS camera. Captured using NINA, combined and processed using PixInsight, post-processed using PhotoShop 2026.
